Thank you

Thanks to all of you for your continued love and support. Unfortunately, despite the glimmers of hope in the last few days, Ali’s overall condition has not improved and her doctors are not optimistic. We need your thoughts and your prayers more than ever. Thank you.

  1. Hi Eric, Luc, Jerry and Annie — from way over here in Australia, we’re checking this blog VERY frequently. Our hearts are aching for all of you as you keep vigil with Ali. We’re sending all the meditation and energy of healing, solace and love we can possibly muster, and it’s a lot. Breathe. Love you all, Dean, Don, Erin, William and Josephine

  2. I am so sorry for this devastating thing that has happened to your family. You don’t know me, but I am a friend of Cindi’s from High School.
Also, I was an ICU RN for 22 years, so if you have any questions, concerns, or anything else, I might be able to help you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, and may Ali be healed.

P.S. my email is maryskymom@aol.com Feel free to contact me if you need any advice or just a shoulder!

  3. We appreciate you updating us on Ali’s condition. Ali & Luc have an enormous extended family in the maritime community, deeply concerned & holding tight to optimism. We know them both as inspirational & strong & aspire to follow their lead. We send our love & healing thoughts & prayers, Linda & Steven Kibler

  4. I am sitting here knitting this morning, thinking of Ali with each stitch, knowing it was one of her many interests. Until today stitches did not seem so related to worry beads, loving care sent with each one. Linda Kibler’s post above pretty much says it all. Thank you for keeping us posted.

  5. Dearest Jerry, Annie, Luc, Eric, families and friends – We love you dearly and have stepped up our prayers for a miracle for Ali, and for all the strength and endurance needed to wait for it.

Eric – you are a Godsend. Thank you so much for setting up this blog.

Our love and hearts go out to all,
    Marilyn and Rick

  6. My name is Carolyn snd my son Michael reyna , is in Paul’s scout troop. Since I have found out about the accident, I have been praying for Ali and his son . I work in critical care at kaiser. My sister in law works at highland and i left a message for her to check in on ali too offer support, if she hasnt left in vacation. If you have any questions, please do hesitate to contact me. I know it is overwhelming, I had my mother in the hospital a few years ago, and I swear I completely understood the MD, until I got home. and I speak” the language”. I found myself having to ask the surgeon( whom I work with) to explain things again so I could write it down. Our brains can only deal with so much, and when in shock, frequent Repetition is needed. So please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Also, If I can bring some food or coffee for you and your family, just send me a note. Please don’t hesitate, it would allow me to pay foward what was given to my family when my brother was in an ICU many years ago.
